## Colors and Shading in Your Progress Bar

If you have progress bars toggled on, you notice them beneath each category. [Progress bar color and shading](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/progress-bars-a-guide-SkDEhot09#colors) both signal what is happening in the category this month.

## Colors in the Available Column

**Red**: Red means immediate action is needed, because it represents **cash** overspending. Whether the spending happened with a checking/savings account or actual cash, some dollars have been spent that are still sitting in other categories. [Move money](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/moving-money-in-your-plan-ryyCKbBJi) immediately to cover that overspending so that you know your other Available amounts are accurate!

**Yellow**: Yellow is up next, because it means the category is underfunded. Either you've overspent on a credit account, or you haven't assigned enough for an upcoming transaction or target in order to fund it by the due date. The icon tells you which of those applies, which we'll talk about in the "Icons" section below.

**Green**: It’s all good! Your Available amount is positive and enough to cover any upcoming [Scheduled Transactions](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/scheduled-transactions-a-guide-BygrAIFA9). If you have a target for that category—you’re on track, or you've snoozed it to prioritize that money elsewhere! Note that a category with a savings target **without** a due date will show up green if there is any money in the category, even if you haven't contributed to the goal this month. Since there isn't any date it has to be funded by, there isn't any way to be off-target.

**Gray**: If the Available amount is gray, it's at zero **and** not underfunded.

## Icons in the Available Column of the Web App

If you're on the **web app**, you'll see additional icons in the Available column of your plan. Here's what they mean!

**Credit Card Icon:** The most urgent icon is the credit card with an exclamation mark because it signals [credit overspending](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/credit-card-overspending-an-overview-HkMGpSbJs). If you don’t assign more to that category, it will become debt you need to pay off (by assigning money directly to the Credit Card Payment Category in a future month). You can cover the overspending by clicking the yellow Available amount and moving money from another funded category in the drop-down menu that pops up.

**Calendar Icon:** The calendar icon means there isn't enough money for a transaction scheduled to happen later in the month. If you select the category, the Inspector in the right sidebar will show the details for the upcoming Scheduled Transaction in that category: how much has been assigned, and how much more is needed.

**Pie Chart Icon:** Ah, this delicious icon tells you whether or not you're on track to meet the target you set for that category. A partly filled pie chart icon tells us that we haven't assigned enough yet. If we select the category, the Inspector in the right sidebar will show [more details about the target](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/how-to-use-targets-rk5kkI9ks#target-alerts), including how much more is needed to be fully funded for the month.

**Green Circle Icon:** You're on track! And, if you're looking to celebrate, scan the available column for checkmarks. A checked, green circle means the target has been met. Success!

**Zz Snooze Icon (also available on iOS and Android):** The target in that category is snoozed. You won't be asked to assign more to the category this month for that target, even if the target isn't funded. If you see a snooze icon and a yellow Available amount, it means there's a scheduled transaction this month that needs to be funded. Assign money to cover the scheduled transaction so you don't end up with overspending.
