Learn how to change your billing info, download an invoice or receipt, or cancel your subscription. The steps depend on which platform you subscribed through (iOS App Store, Android Play Store, or directly through YNAB).

* **If you subscribed directly through YNAB**, changes to your subscription can be made in your [Account Settings](https://app.ynab.com/settings) in the web app, accessible in the settings menu in your plan.

    #### On a mobile device?

Billing and subscription information is not available through the mobile app settings (only in the web app). As a workaround if you don't have access to a computer, try copying and pasting the web app address (**https://app.ynab.com/settings**) into your mobile browser. This should allow you to access your Account Settings page to make billing changes.

* **If you subscribed through the App Store** (on an iPhone or iPad), you'll need to [manage your subscription](https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions) through Apple.

* **If you subscribed through the Play Store** (on Android), you’ll need to [manage your subscription](https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions) through Google.

## What If I Don't Know How I Subscribed?

If you’re unsure how you subscribed, here’s how to check based on your current device:

* **On a computer** head directly to your [Account Settings](https://app.ynab.com/settings) page and check the _Subscription_ section.

* **On an iOS device** copy and paste the web app URL [https://app.ynab.com/settings](https://app.ynab.com/settings) into a mobile browser and check the _Subscription_ section.

* **On an Android device** copy and paste the web app URL [https://app.ynab.com/subscription/edit](https://app.ynab.com/subscription/edit) into a mobile browser and check the _Subscription_ section.

If, instead of a _Subscription_ section, you see a _Trial_ section with a _Subscribe Now_ button, that means your account is managed by YNAB.

Once you know your subscription source, you can select the appropriate tab in any of the sections below.

## How to Cancel Your Subscription

### iOS App Store

## What Happens Next?

**If you subscribed through the Apple App Store (on an iPhone or iPad):** As mentioned above you'll need to [cancel your subscription with iTunes](https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions) to make sure you aren't charged on the renewal date after your account is deleted. As Apple handles their own billing, you will be subject to their terms on refunds—and will need to contact them directly with billing questions.

**If you subscribed through the Google Play Store (on an Android):** Deleting your account will automatically cancel your subscription with Google so you aren't charged on the renewal date. If you have any billing questions, you can contact us and [tell the chatbot you need a human or send us an email](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/how-to-get-help-SygqcvtC5).

**If you subscribed directly through YNAB:** Deleting your YNAB account will automatically end your subscription. If you have an annual subscription, this will trigger a prorated refund for any unused time. Monthly subscriptions are not eligible for refunds.

If the prorated refund does not process within ten business days, please [tell the chatbot you need a human or send us an email](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/how-to-get-help-SygqcvtC5) as we may have run into an issue processing that refund. Please include your PayPal email address so we have an alternative refund option, if needed.

Regardless of how you subscribed, once you've deleted your account, we'll disconnect your [linked accounts](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/linked-accounts-B1991f2Cc) and delete the **connections** you made with our direct import providers. If you'd like our direct import providers to delete the data they hold, here's how to do that:

* MX ([privacy policy](https://www.mx.com/privacy-policy/) ) - When your YNAB account was deleted, we requested that MX delete your data. If you want to confirm this, [contact our Support team](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/how-to-get-help-SygqcvtC5), and we'll verify with MX.

* Plaid ([privacy policy](https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy)) - manage your data via the [Plaid Portal](https://my.plaid.com/)

If you decide you'd like to return to YNAB in the future, you'll be able to create a new account with the same email address. \*If you run into any issues with that, [contact our Support team](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/how-to-get-help-SygqcvtC5) to get everything straightened out!

#### Data Retention Policy

If your subscription remains expired for the amount of time outlined in our [Data Retention Policy](https://www.ynab.com/privacy-policy#data-retention), your account will be deleted.
