## What to Expect When Snoozing a Target

A snoozed target will no longer ask you to assign more money into the category, even if the target is not met. That category’s Available column will no longer show as yellow. Instead, it will be green (if there is money available) or grey (if the Available amount is zero).

Target snooze only lasts for the month that you snooze it in, and you can only snooze a target in the current month. Targets for Credit Card Payment categories cannot be snoozed.

Snoozed targets don’t count towards the Underfunded amount in the Auto-Assign section (underfunded scheduled transactions will still count, and show as yellow). You’ll notice a _Zz_ Snooze icon in the Available column of any snoozed target.

You can still review the target’s progress in the Target Details window at any time.

## How to Enable or Cancel Snooze for a Target

A category must have a target set to enable the option to snooze a target and you can only snooze a target in the current month. Whether you're snoozing a target or canceling snooze, the steps are the same:

### iOS

1. Tap the _Plan_ tab.

2. Tap a category.

    1. If snooze is already on, you can instead tap _Cancel target snooze_ at the top of the number pad to turn it off.

3. Tap _Details_.

4. Toggle the _Zz_ _Snooze for this month_ option **on** or **off**_._

#### Weekly Targets and Targets in the Credit Card Payment Category

Targets are snoozed on a month-by-month basis. When you snooze a target with a weekly cadence, that target will remain snoozed for the entire month (or until you cancel the snooze).

Targets in the Credit Card Payment category can't be snoozed.

## Snooze Scenarios

Here are a few examples of scenarios where you may want to snooze a target this month.

* **Variable Expenses** If you have variable expenses and spend less than you had set aside, you can snooze the target this month and move that extra money out of the category, without receiving a yellow underfunded message.

* **A Change in Priorities** Maybe it's one of those months that everyone seems to have a birthday and you’ve got to buy extra gifts. That may mean less dining out this month (and you’re okay with that!). Snooze the target and the category will be okay with it, too.

* **Refunds to a Category** Refunds to a category don’t count towards this month’s target. If you’d like to use those funds as part of the target’s needed amount, you can snooze the target once you have enough Available in the category.

* **Early Payment of a Bill or Expense** If you paid a bill or expense a month early, you can snooze the target when the new month starts, since you’ve already paid the bill for that month.
