## FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

### What is a positive inflow category?

Positive inflow categories are categories in which your total inflows are greater than your total outflows, often due to [refunds or reimbursements](https://support.ynab.com/en_us/how-to-add-income-and-other-inflows-H1ZNjfZJi#reimbursements).

Here's an example:

* You purchased a flight **last** month for $200, categorizing the transaction to your Work Travel category.

* You are reimbursed for the flight **this** month, and **no other activity happens** in your Work Travel category.

* Your Work Travel category will be listed under the Positive Inflow Categories section of your Spending Breakdown with an inflow of $200.

#### Wondering why a category isn’t included?

You’ll see positive inflow categories **only if** the inflows are more than the outflows. If the total spending in that category was zero, or the spending is more than the inflows, you’ll see this category in the regular spending section of Spending Breakdown.

### How are hidden categories handled?

Hidden categories are shown in the Spending Breakdown in their original groups. When selecting categories, hidden ones are represented with an eye icon.

### What is Spending Trends on the web?

While the Spending Report is no longer available on the web app, we didn't remove the feature from the web. Spending Breakdown and Spending Trends provide you the same data you had access to before in the Spending Report.
